DRILL INSTRUCTIONS
This month we are shooting the Werner 5×5! This is a very easy drill to shoot, a very hard drill to shoot well. Shooter must have 5 targets and 25 rounds to successfully complete this drill. The shooter will start at the low ready position and engage one target upon audible start. Each string has a par time of 5 seconds. Each string can use the same target as long as hits can be verified accurately. All 5 targets must be shot sequentially and may not be a “best of 10” cuts. The lowest total time wins. Submissions must show blank target, strings of fire, and shots without cuts. Goodluck to everyone!
AUTHOR NOTES
Designed by Claude Werner (The Tactical Professor) the Werner 5×5 is a deceptively hard drill. It seems easy, but it requires consistency. I’d recommend that folks shoot it with their actual carry guns too, as you may have issues with smaller firearms. As an added challenge, shooters can try the “advanced” version of the Werner 5×5, which requires you to shoot the drill from a concealment holster.
